Being an expert at anything, including search engine marketing, requires one fundamental concept and that is knowing more about a topic than 99% of the rest of us. If you know search engine marketing and how to market online you can likely help many small business owners. Having the knowledge is one part of the equation, but to really make money with SEM you have to develop a successful business.
Even the best money making ideas require sorting through a lot crap before you get a stream lined system that makes you cash and makes your customers happy, if you can do this, you can write your own ticket in any industry. Most people, in my opinion are only one skill or at most two away from really making everything click. This is the reason the publishing companies make a lions share of the money when it comes to selling books. Just because you can write a kick ass book, doesn’t mean you can market, sell and distribute the book…. introducing the publishing company, right?
Well I’ve learned that if I’m going to make money I gotta know myself, know what I want, and trust the fact that what I need and don’t have will show up. Call it outsourcing, bringing in a consultant or, heaven forbid, bringing in a publishing company. What’s my point?
How to Start a Search Engine Marketing Business
Well if you know Internet marketing or know Search engine marketing is a great industry to start a business in but don’t know where to start, there is an article and a “How to start a search engine Marketing Guide” I came across the other day. It’s a great business to start If you know SEM or SEO, check it out and let us know what you think. It’s a smart Internet business idea.
Making Money Marketing on the Internet
Making moneymarketing on the Internet is tough, having several income streams is probably wise advice. On of the ways I make money online is by helping small business owners use the Internet to get more clients and make more money. This is probably the only hands on business offering I have where there is an actual customer I deal with. I try to keep things mostly passive in nature, but I like the Interaction so Search Engine Marketing seemed like a good business to start.
I’ve learned to keep it pretty simple though. Offering a good service and doing what you say you will goes a long way online and off, so make sure you create that standard of conduct for yourself and you’ll make more money over the long haul.
